Selection and Hiring


We advocate selecting candidates who are capable AND have the "right attitude."  Interviews alone rarely do this well.  Hiring people on the basis of scores on  IQ-type tests not only fails to screen out people with potential "attitudinal problems"  but often leads to adverse impact.

Using state-of-the-art selection technology and a model of job performance metrics, we offer services to help you select employees on the basis of person-culture fit and person-job fit to improve productivity and reduce unwanted turnover.

  • Person-culture fit involves assessment of the candidate's potential fit with the values and strategies of the business and the people in it.  In other words, will the candidate be loyal,  "fit in," and be a good representative of the company?
  • Person-job fit involves assessment of the knowledge and ability (both cognitive and emotional) to perform the core tasks required in the job.
